Period poetry readings by Dr. Phillip Rogers and Carolyn Heatherington

Join us for an evening of Advent and Christmas music from western and eastern traditions 12th to 18th centuries with ancient chant, instrumental dances and carols, featuring music by Hildegard, Lassus, Scheidt, Praetorius and Charpentier.

Lutenist and conductor Bryan Martin will lead all in the final, uplifting work of the programme, Scheidt’s In dulci jubilo.

Pre-concert lecture at 7:00 p.m.
